How steps sync (Apple Health / Health Connect)

How do step games work?

Step and walk games sync from Apple Health (iOS) or Google Health Connect (Android). The phone camera does not count steps.

How do I connect?

1. Join a steps game in the Cadoo app.
2. Allow Health / Health Connect permissions when prompted.
3. Keep the app in the foreground briefly so Cadoo can pull recent steps.
4. Progress updates from your health store — not from filming yourself walking.

Tips for reliable sync

• Wear or carry the phone that owns the health data.
• Grant steps (and related activity) read permission.
• Open Cadoo and the game so a sync can run — background-only sync can lag.
• Camera workouts and step games are separate rails; switching activities does not mix them.

Shareables

Eligible steps progress can still produce a short shareable highlight and, after a successful payout, a winner card.
