Frequently Asked Questions of Reps
Commonly asked questions about reps
How is the app detecting my workouts?
Reps are verified via AI technology produced by Guru. The AI detects the movement throughout the body, depending on the exercise. For example, if the person is performing sit-ups, the AI will look at the movement of the head, back, and knees, as the participant lies down and comes up in a sitting position, as opposed to push-ups, the AI will look at the movement between the legs, back, arms, and elbows, as the participant pushes themselves down and back up.
How can I report reps?
Next to each processed video, is an exclamation point. If you happen to notice any inaccurate counts, tap on the exclamation point and change the number to what the count should be. The video will then be manually reviewed by the Cadoo team. Please be patient as we work on each video that is submitted. Videos submitted for review are thoroughly looked for accuracy, so if the reps do not appear to be complete or not up to the app's standards, they either will not count or be modified for a lower amount.
The app counted my reps as 0, how come?
The AI is not 200% accurate in tracking movements, as it is "learning" in development. If you have followed the checklist below and the AI is still counting less reps as it should be, please let us know by using the exclamation point to allow the team to review it.
- Make sure that your phone is vertical and propped against a hard surface. Having the phone horizontal will create inaccurate counts.
- Ensure that you are in a well-lit room or environment. Any sun beams through windows, doing reps outdoors at night or another environment with loss light may cause mis-counts.
- Position your entire body in the video, including legs in push-up videos, heads in sit-up videos, and feet in squat videos.
- Make sure you are within a good distance from the camera. Going too far may lead to inaccurate counts and being too close will not allow the AI to scan the essential and vital body parts.
- Make sure that you are doing the exercise in its entirety. Performing crunches instead of full sit-ups may lead to inaccurate counts.
I don't have enough room or space.
The AI must be able to capture movement for the exercise. Many people tend to be creative in where they record their videos, such as a gym, at the park, in their yard, their workplace, and other places with an abundance of space.
Can I do more than what the challenge says?
You are more than welcome to do more than the minimum requirements, but anything more than the minimum will not count towards a game. If you are in a game with a daily requirement, any extra reps will not cover the next day, as you must meet the minimum for each day. If you are in a game with a total number, you are more than welcome to do any amount in one day, provided that all reps abide by the app's standards.
What is the "Heavyweight Champ"?
The Heavyweight Champ is a monthly 1,000 push-up game that starts on the first of each month and ends on the last day of each month. It is one of Cadoo's most popular monthly games. Please be very attentive to when you are joining the game, as you will have less time to complete it if you choose to join in the middle of the month, as opposed to those who joined at the beginning. Due to the high entry fee and game requirements, it is recommended to join free games or games with lower fees for beginners so you can feel comfortable in learning how to use the app.
