How It Works
  1. Join a video workout challenge — Look for push-up, sit-up, or squat challenges on the Explore page.
  2. Record your workout — Tap the camera button in your challenge to start recording.
  3. AI counts your reps — Our AI analyzes your video in real time, counting reps and evaluating your form.
  4. Submit your video — Once you're done, submit your workout. The AI provides your final rep count and form score.
Supported Exercises

Push-ups — Full push-ups with proper form (chest to floor, arms fully extended)

Sit-ups — Full sit-ups with visible up-and-down motion

Squats — Full squats with proper depth and standing

Tips for Better Rep CountingCamera Setup
  • Prop your phone against something stable — Don't hold it while exercising
  • Film from the side — The AI needs to see your full body in profile
  • Keep your full body in frame — Head to toe should be visible throughout
  • Good lighting — Well-lit rooms with natural light work best. Avoid backlighting.
During Your Workout
  • Smooth, controlled movements — Fast or jerky movements may not register
  • Full range of motion — Partial reps may not count
  • One person in frame — Only you should be visible
  • Stay in frame — Don't move out of the camera's view mid-set
Form Requirements

Your form is scored on a scale of 0 to 1.0. A minimum form score of 0.70 is required for reps to count.

Form is evaluated on:

  • Depth (40% of score) — Are you reaching the proper bottom position?
  • Lockout (30% of score) — Are you fully extending at the top?
  • Body alignment (30% of score) — Is your body in a straight line?
What Happens After Submission
  1. Your video is uploaded to our secure cloud servers
  2. Our AI service (Guru) performs a detailed analysis
  3. You receive your rep count and form score within a few minutes
  4. Verified reps are credited toward your challenge progress

If you disagree with the rep count, you can report the submission through the app.

Troubleshooting

"Video submission failed"

  • Check your internet connection and try again
  • Make sure your video is at least 5 seconds long
  • Ensure the camera has a clear view of your body

"Low form score — reps not counted"

  • Review the form requirements above
  • Film a test video to check your positioning
  • Make sure the camera can see your full body from the side

"AI counted fewer reps than I did"

  • The AI requires full range of motion for each rep
  • Partial reps or very fast reps may not register
  • Try slower, more controlled movements
FAQ

Q: Can I use a pre-recorded video?
A: No. Videos must be recorded live within the Cadoo app during the challenge window.

Q: Do I need any equipment?
A: No! Push-ups, sit-ups, and squats are bodyweight exercises. Just you and your phone.

Q: How long should my video be?
A: Record for as long as you need to complete your reps. There's no maximum length, but longer videos take longer to process.
